This was an upgrade to an engagement ring for a 10th anniversary. The Center stone is 5.01carats VS2 clarity, and E in color set in platinum. The two half-moon shaped side stones weigh .96 carats together, and they are set using the same prongs as the center stone.
The client wanted a traditional looking ring, but this ring is not any old basket setting. First off, the stones are set within a few hundredths of a millimeter from each other. The 4 main prongs are heavily tapered and curve up to meet the center stone. I am very proud of this piece.
